Weber Shih photographs people and spaces for commercial and editorial clients as well as various corporations and nonprofits. He started his career in photojournalism freelancing for newspapers in Los Angeles as well as Scripps Howard News Service in Washington DC. He has also served as cinematographer on a wide range of film and video productions.

Weber graduated from the University of California at Berkeley with majors in Political Science and Rhetoric with a Concentration in Narrative and Image. Additional coursework includes documentary photography at the Berkeley Graduate School of Journalism and film studies at Lund University in Sweden. He has taught classes in photography at UC Berkeley and Academy of Art University and his work has been recognized by American Photography.

Weber is based in San Francisco and also works out of an additional location in Los Angeles.
